It's been all about Calistoga Ranch today.

There are 48 x 1 bedroom lodges, 3 x 2 bedroom lodges and 23 "owner" lodges. I have a 2-bedroom ... with fully-fitted kitchen, indoor & outdoor lounges, barbecue, lovely views ... around 250 square metres in area ... it's quite lovely.

The ranch is 157-acres in area ... has its own vineyard ... Lake ... Spa .... Bocce Ball courts ...  Yoga deck ... and one restaurant - Lakehouse. It's all private here ... only guests (& owners) can use the facilities which means it's quite quiet.

Three things I like also about Calistoga ... 1) it has access to 70 private vineyards that don't allow the public to usually visit 2) there is a fleet of 7 new Mercedes that can be used (complimentary) by guests 3) it is pet-friendly ... how I miss Moo ...

So first up, interview with Mark Harmon CEO of Auberge Resorts, that in Napa alone has the Ranch, Auberge du Soleil and Solage ... more on the last two later in the week.

Then my suite review ... while a barbecue was expertly put together by the Executive Chef & Sous Chef - Christian and Justin respectively.

Then Bocce Ball with the Ranch Captain Jeff Reilly. It's a game like boules or bowls ... that dates back to Roman times.

Have so much to do still today ... grrrr ...

Tomorrow - rain & thunderstorms! GREAT!
