I am two days behind in my Diary ... but, better late than never.

So - on Friday, we were up early and we headed into one of the ten restaurants in the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray for a cooking masterclass from "the greatest Emirati chef" - Mussabeh Al Kaabi - who taught me how to make a lamb-shank - Dubai-style ... loads of spices, colour and taste!

From there we headed off to the Madinat Jumeirah on Jumeirah Beach to find out about Dubai's "turtle rehabilitation centre". Every year due to sea temperature change, barnacles on the shell and general accidents, Hawksbill and Green turtles in the Arabian Gulf wash up on the beaches ...

They start there rehabilitation at the Burj Al Arab (not bad!) before being transferred to the Madinat, where a team of caring marine scientists nurse them back to health ... feed them lobster and crab (I joke not) and finally when they are cured, they a released into the Gulf again ... conservation at its best!

I met with Ibrahim Jalmaani who showed me the turtles that are being looked after ...

Finally, in the evening we headed to beach in from of Zabeel Saray for the "end of show" shots ... complete with belly-dancer ... who made me blush ... rather a lot! WHERE IS A MAN TO LOOK???

Song of the Day: Bom Bom - Sam and the Womp (so bad, it's good!)

Film of the Day: The Thing - John Carpenter ... (only the 1982 original please!)

With Zeina Helwa ... she dances!
