Day 2 - Pafos, Cyprus
Awoke to bright sunshine! Fabulous! After the last few trips, seeing the sun shining was very welcome indeed.
We did get to sleep at around 0100 but we still met for breakfast at 0800 with George Koukoulakis ... hotel manager ... to set out the day.
Almyra translates as "taste of the sea" ... and it was opened in the summer of 2003. The building has been a hotel since 1972 ... but the current owners Thanos Hotels have done a fabulous job making this THE contemporary, luxury resort in Pafos/Paphos.
There are 189 rooms & suites and I am staying in a Kyma Suite (there are 19). Kyma translates as "waves" and I can see the Sea from my bedroom. Downstairs is a king-sized bed, sofa, bathroom, terrace ... around 47 m2 .... UPSTAIRS in my roof-top terrace at 43 m2 ... which has amazing views ... tonight's sunset was just incredible ...
The resort has a superb spa (with adults-only pool), numerous restaurants offering easy-food, local and international cuisines ...
So far so good ... sleep tonight ... features to start filming tomorrow ...
Up on my roof-top terrace
All for meeeee!
Sunset with a lovely glass of champagne ...
George and Tim strut. George's wife is from Japan and her name is Yuki (Snow) - one of my favourite names in the world! Ahhh .... Yuki!
