The Priory has a resident pup - Hugo - was has become a good friend and plate-cleaner!
He's just a puppy - and is VERY inquisitive!

The front door has a wonderful stained glass window!
The Priory is owned & run by Greg Peacock. The house was built in 1848 and was originally home to a Scottish priest as this whole area was "mini-Scotland". It became the home to the Postmaster General of Hobart, a doctor's surgery ... and NOW is a fabulous 7-bedroom hotel. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house and 3 in new buildings that will be ready in a few days.
After filming the whole property, we popped to the Thorpe Farm ... just 1 km away. Here John Bignall makes sheep & goat cheese! We learned how these cheeses are made ... YUM!
Yesterday's trout ... cut into fillets!
I won't tell you about my stay here until I leave tomorrow BUT it would be fair to say that we have been looked after so well ... that none of us want to leave. The chef d'hotel - Lisa Thorsen - has prepared EVERYTHING I like ... and today she (for the show) made a trout dish with salsify ...
