DAY 2 - Munich, Germany
Greetings from my sixth floor suite at the Bayerischer Hof, Munchen ...
We have spent the day filming in the hotel ... and it's been fun!
The hotel first opened in 1841 and boasts 345 rooms including 60 suites.
Located in central Munich, the property is the finest in the city. There are 6 restaurants and 5 bars including the Michelin-starred Atelier. The Falk's Bar is one of the most fabulous bars in Europe ...
There's also a cinema!
My suite was designed by the wife of Germany's most famous chat-show host. While the hotel is quite classical, MY suite is VERY contemporary. It's full of art ... like the Comic Book Angel ... a sofa by John-Paul Gaultier ... a pair of signed Elizabeth Taylor - Bruno Magli shoes ...
The first thing you will see in the connecting hallway of the suite is an original Gruau print ... an homage to the 80's fashion scene.
The bedroom is dominated by a king-size bed ... and the colours that the designer has used - dark red and black -make it intimate, romantic almost risque ... and with the velvet bed cover ... the bedroom reminds me of a strong, dark but smooth coffee ...
The bathroom is unique ... a black granite heated floor ... 2 striking scarlet wash-basins ... and a glass-fronted bath ... my bath-butler has even filled it up for me!!!!
Off to dinner early - have a LONG day tomorrow!
