Day 7 - Margaret River, Western Australia
Every year there are two days here in Margaret River where it rains all day. Sadly, today was one of those days! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
Today was meant to be all about canoeing, walking, drinking wine and enjoying the sunshine ... instead we spent much of our time dodging rain showers, downpours and torrents ... but we did do some drinking ...!
We met up with Sean Blocksidge - who runs The Margaret River Discovery Company - and is the region's number 1 guide ...
We visited a eucalyptus forest and did some honey tasting (Jarra Honey is fabulous by the way) ... then lunch at a boutique winery ... before ending up at the Wilyabrup Cliffs for a spectacular ending to the day.
The power of the sea was at its best ... huge waves crashing, fresh air blasting over our faces ... just a tremendous experience ...
I did get to "review" my "Residence" today ... five bedrooms ... golf course (1 hole - but still) ... 2200 square feet ... barbecue ... 3-acres of land ... 3 car ports ... private driveway ... just amazing ... and it's all MINE!!!!!
Up early tomorrow ... for some more exploring!
on the cliffs ...
WHAT?
One that broke the rule ... yay!
The forest ...
The waves are THIS big ... up to 30 feet ...
