Day 4 - Perth, Western Australia
So just two weeks ago, the temperature in Perth was over 40 degrees C ... today it was MINUS 40 ... well, not really but it was chilly, windy and rainy! Rain? In Perth? Typical ...
The weather is set to be quite awful tomorrow too ... and we have had to cancel my swim - in the wild - with dolphins. I am pretty sad about that ... but something else has been arranged.
So - The Richardson Hotel ... it's my last night here. I have thoroughly loved staying here ...
It was opened in 2007 (a new-build that took two years to erect) and boasts 74 rooms & suites. I am in the King's Park Suite ... and at 170 m2 in area, is the largest in the hotel. It has THREE bedrooms (all for me!!) ... dining room ... bathrooms ... an office ... and three terraces ... one which overlooks Perth ... The Patersons Stadium - aka Subiaco Stadium (Australian Rules Football and concerts), the Kings Park and the Central Business District (CBD). I am eight floors up by the way so the views are cool!
There is only one "hotel" to stay in if you visit Perth and it's The Richardson .... great service ... lovely staff ... wonderful surroundings ... fabulous floral statements (flower power) ... delicious cuisine ... fantastic wine list ... cute spa ...
Today we filmed the whole property ... it went rather well.
Tomorrow it's Margaret River! Exciting!
The "house car" - a London cab!
With hotel General Manager & old friend - Andrew Farnfield
A marron ... a black lobster/langoustine ... yummy!
With the lovely sales & marketing team (and our minders for the day) - Miyuki and Charlie
The view from my terrace - when the sun DID come out!
