Vroooooooooooooom!

Today I drove a car to 250 kmph! Yes - a Porsche Cayman S - around the Estoril Circuit ... where Ayrton Senna won his first ever F1 Grand Prix!

The circuit does not host F1 anymore but does host MotoGP (bikes), GT3 and Le Mans (cars).

The day started off quite sedately - with a visit to the oldest port shop in Lisbon - Manuel Tavares. Here I met with Clara Ladeira - whose family owns the store that was opened in 1860. She is a port expert. Port wine comes only from the Duoro region of Portugal ... it's a fortified wine and has tawny, ruby, vintage and LBV among its many varieties! Phew! It was fun learning about port!

I then headed to Estoril (15 minutes from Lisbon) to meet with GT3 driver Pedro Moleiro who taught me how to drive a fast car ... fast! It was left hand drive and manual BUT I still managed to go ... VERY VERY fast!

Have just had a wonderful dinner BUT more on that tomorrow.

Have checked out of the Ritz Four Seasons and am now at Penha Longa - a Ritz-Carlton Hotel ... thinking of you Chris and John!
