a kiss from a sea-lion

We are now in LA ...

We flew in from Puerto Vallarta and tomorrow we fly down to French Polynesia ... Bora Bora.

The last day in Punta Mita was quite exciting ... as I went swimming with Jenny, a 90 kilogram sea-lion. Before you get stressed, Jenny comes from Uruguay. She comes from an island where sea-lions breed naturally ... however, if there are too many of these beautiful creatures, they are culled by local fishermen.

The Uruguyan Government sent Jenny (now 9 years old) to Jonny Madigan from Dolphin Adventures in Puerto Vallarta and with her, he now teaches kids & hotel guests about sea-life ... the environment ... etc

I spent a wonderful hour swimming, cuddling and being kissed by Jenny ... (she had fish-breath though!) ...

The last two days have been quite emotional ... first releasing baby turtles yesterday ... now swimming with a sea-lion ... just so lovely ...
