Tim & James arrived in the hotel at 0130! They looked rather rough ... lack of sleep, a late flight and a speeding infraction spotted by San Diego's finest had taken their toll.
However, we started filming at 0900 on the dot.
First up, Tohnia ... the hotel was opened in December 2008 ... 184 rooms and suites spread over 23 floors. The building is quite modern ... and is furnished as such. Dark wood floors ... hmmm :) There is a restaurant & bar - Suite & Tender ... plus a lovely swimming pool, fitness centre and the Se Spa.
Next up - the lovely Keli Thoma to talk about the art ... there are no paintings or photos on the walls ... just instillation art. Waves, topography and tea cups ....!
Then Chuck Huller - he of concierge - land, sea and sky ... more on that later in the week.
Michelle Frye - Director of the Spa - loads of treatment rooms ... yum!
Anthony Calamari - exec chef - taught me how to prepare Hamachi tuna tacos ... delicious and easy! Seared tuna, pineapple drizzle, shredded lettuce, creme of soya sauce .. and tacos ... yumyum!
Then another Michelle - who did my nails and finally an Olivia to massage the stress of life away.
My suite on the 20th floor is a duplex - 2 bedrooms - the main one on the mezzanine - views of the Bay, Mexico and the Ocean ... and the mountains. There's an open kitchen area ... a dining area ... and a free-standing bath ... it's quite lovely and as ever - WAY too large for little old me!
Tonight there's a Chanel party by the pool BUT alas I have an 0345 wake-up call.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Se experience ... mainly because of the staff ... young, eager to please and thoroughly delightful.
