June gloom! Yes - despite being told that it NEVER rains in California .. it did today! I put it down to the 4.3 earthquake we had last night! I am on the 20th floor of a 23 storey building! Hmmm ... below are photos of my duplex ... ground floor: kitchen, bedroom 1 and AMAZING views ... second floor mezzanine with bed ... more views and oval "sleepy" bath ... yum!

SO - rain stopped play for most of the day! Rescheduled shoot for tomorrow ...

BUT in the evening we filmed at Croce's .. the number 1 restaurant (& jazz bar) in San Diego. The place is owned by Ingrid Croce .. widow of Jim Croce ... jazz maestro who penned tunes like "bad, bad Leroy Brown ... " which has been covered by the likes of Sinatra and Robbie Williams.

The Gaslamp Quarter (2 minutes walk from the hotel) was founded in 1860 after the gold rush and for years became rundown ... a red-light district ... and in the 1980's was revived into an amazing strip of bars, clubs and restaurants! Awesome!

Ingrid has been here for 25 years ... and Croce's serves wonderful food and plays live jazz every night. We had fun ...

We have been totally amazed by the number of pretty girls in San Diego!! We have not stopped smiling!!

Tomorrow: weather permitting ... flying and sailing ... and a sad farewell to the Se and a happy hello to Torrey Pines!

Song of the Day: Alex F - Harold Faltemeyer
