When I woke this morning the weather was DESPERATELY bad! Thunderstorm, heavy rain, windy ... even chilly!
By the time we arrived at Valentine's Dive Center (!) ... the rain had stopped. I met with Divemaster - Sean Springer ... an 18 year veteran of Scuba.
Twenty minutes later we arrived at the Devil's Backbone - where in 1648, Captain Sayles and his Puritan brothers & sisters ran aground. They all escaped with their lives and arrived at Preachers Cave.
In 1841, a passenger ferry also sank at the Backbone and now it's a dive site! I had a brilliant time diving through old boilers ... and under & over metal beams ... fabulous!
SO - Harbour Island ... Pink and Coral Sands ... both great properties ... with service unexpectedly efficient and friendly! This is the Caribbean after all. All in all, we were all quite impressed!
