Four hour car journey from Chiang Rai to Chiang Rai. This is the half-way hut .. ! I joke not ...

So - have now left the Tented Camp in the Golden Triangle and am now 180 miles South in Chiang Mai - the country's second city.

Am with friends from London way back ... more on that tomorrow. Need sleep!
